in a Way That
Works for You
Every year, Oxfam partners with individuals, companies, events in an effort to end global poverty. There are many other ways you can contribute to Oxfam including corporate giving, DIY events, Oxfam's Stamp program, Unwrapped, Stocks, Bonds and Mutual Funds.
Believe it! Those used stamps and envelopes can add up. Oxfam Canada volunteers raise at least $10,000 annually by sorting and selling stamps to collectors. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been given to Oxfam from the Stamp Program since it started in 1980.
How it works

- foreign stamps
- Canadian stamps
- commemorative stamps
Keep the entire envelope if there are:

Important Message about Donations of Stamps as of April 1 2019
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our supporters – STAMP OUT POVERTY – raised a 30 year record high of $30,000 for Oxfam Canada’s signature program ‘Creating Spaces’.
Please note, that at this time, due to the high volume of stamps received to date, we will no longer be issuing a charitable tax receipt for in-kind gifts of stamps other philatelic material received on or after April 1, 2019.
If you are considering making a donation of stamps and require charitable tax receipt, we recommend you contact your local stamp auction house or stamp dealer. Your local auction house or dealer will be able to help you price your stamps as well as sell them. Once the sale is complete, you can donate the proceeds of the sale to STAMP OUT POVERTY and we will be able to issue a receipt based on the amount received.
This change will not affect our planned spring schedule of events. Our May 2019 auction, our mail orders, and our direct sales will continue as they always have.
Have you ever been perplexed as to what gifts to give family members and friends? Oxfam's Gift of Peace lets you make a donation to Oxfam on behalf of a friend or family member, and they receive a beautiful card with a message thanking them for the donation made in their name.
Oxfam's Gift of Peace is a different way of giving one that helps others help themselves. Here's how it works. You make a donation to Oxfam on behalf of a friend or family member. We send that person a beautiful card (or we can send it to you so that you can mail it yourself). The card contains this message: "A Gift of Peace in your name has been sent to Oxfam Canada with best wishes from...."
To request a Gift of Peace card, be sure to include the name and address of the person on whose behalf you are making the donation. You'll receive a tax receipt for the amount of the gift and the recipient of the card will be pleased to know that people around the world are being helped to build more secure and peaceful lives.
You can make a Gift of Peace donation right now online on our secure donations server.

You can shop, collect Air Miles or Aeroplan Miles and donate your miles to Oxfam Canada.
Oxfam Canada uses the miles to either offset operating supplies and expenses, or for project staff travel. This helps us reduce our overhead costs and allows us to direct more fundraising money to our poverty and inequality fighting projects.
