Financing adaptation: why the UN’s Bali Climate Conference must mandate the search for new funds
It's time for world leaders to fight climate poverty
From 3-14 December, world leaders met for a crucial United Nations climate change conference in Bali, Indonesia.
Oxfam was there, putting pressure on world leaders to make sure they put the needs of poor people at the heart of the conference.
Why Oxfam's in Bali
Climate change is pushing poor people further into poverty. Millions of vulnerable people in developing countries are already being affected through longer droughts, more frequent floods, and more intense hurricanes.
The world needs international cooperation on climate change, and it needs it now. Oxfam, working with partners and other organizations, was in Bali lobbying governments, ministers, MEPs and delegates, to make sure this happens.
