I am a student at McGill University my major is International development and my minors include Italian studies and Sociology. My experience with Oxfam Canada began with a summer internship in 2007 at the Ottawa office working on the CHANGE Initiative.

I think Oxfam is a great, well-reputed organization. The work that they do, especially their new focus on women’s rights and gender equality, really interested me. I have volunteered with other organizations as well, including an NGO working with underprivileged children, with a focus on girls, in Mumbai, India. I was also an intern at the Canadian Council for Refugees.

I have learnt so much by volunteering with Oxfam, from basic administrative tasks to how to coordinate an event, through working on the CHANGE initiative over the summer.
