hungry4change Dining Hall Fast

Are you a student looking for a way to help? If your high school, college or university offers pre-paid meal plans, consider holding a hungry4change Dining Hall Fast. It's an easy way to raise significant funds to benefit Oxfam Canada.
How it works?
Most campus dining halls are operated by a food service company that contracts with the school to prepare and serve students meals. On the day of your hungry4change Dining Hall Fast, students agree to give up one meal and the food service company agrees to donate a percentage of the cost of that meal to Oxfam Canada. In most cases, the company cannot donate the full cost since they need to cover their normal overhead expenses and pay dining hall staff. Some students have successfully arranged to collect the unused portions of student meal plans at the end of each semester and donate those funds to Oxfam Canada.
Who can participate?
You. Year after year, Oxfam Canada's effectiveness depends on people like you - on campuses and in schools just like yours - contributing to the fight against poverty. These battles are often waged in humble settings like university dining halls or cafeterias, yet their collective impact is enormous. Together we can change the world.
