This collection of photos was shot in Sange, in eastern Congo, in October 2009. Fashion photographer Rankin went in search of stories of love. His portraits remind viewers that the people of Congo are more than just victims of war -- they are people surviving incredibly tough times, who are living with love and passion and wants and desires. Just like you and me. Each photo is accompanied by a testimony written by the person in the portrait.
