Women workers paying price of economic crisis

The global economic crisis is devastating the lives of working women and their families, revealed Oxfam in a new report released today ahead of the G20 summit in London.

Preliminary research in 10 countries across Asia and Latin America suggests that women working in export manufacturing industries, like clothes and electronics, are often first to be laid off, frequently without pay or compensation.
