Rethinking Disasters
Oxfam International Report - Rethinking Disasters, released today April 10, 2008.
The report is about disaster risk reduction, focusing on the world's most disaster-prone region: South Asia. Rethinking Disasters draws on experience gained during humanitarian interventions across South Asia, including the 2004 tsunami in India and Sri Lanka, the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir, the River Basin Programme in India, Bangladesh and Nepal, and drought relief in Afghanistan to name a few.
