Oxfam Canada's tri-annual National Assembly will be held May 11-13, 2007, at Carleton University in Ottawa

At the upcoming Assembly, Oxfam Canada members will participate in dialogue on global issues and women's rights, with Oxfam's international and Canadian program partners and staff. In 2007, the Assembly will reflect Oxfam Canada's new program focus on women's rights. Click here to view the Assembly agenda (pdf).

An exciting agenda features international partners from Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Mexico, as well as allies from across Canada. A series of dynamic workshops will explore the links between women's rights and essential public services, community leadership, gender based violence, food security, HIV/AIDS and conflict and natural disasters. As well, there will be opportunities for skills-building and sharing experiences with members from across the country and activists from around the world.

Assembly delegates will also have opportunities to discuss important issues that will shape the future of Oxfam's work, including a dialogue session with the Board of Directors.
