From October 15 to 19,  Oxfam campaigners will push for women small-scale food growers to have better access to land.

Why land? Because poor people's land is not up for grabs. Women in many developing countries have limited ownership of land and little power to claim their rights. Profits are being pocketed while women lose their livelihoods, rights and access to much needed natural resources.

Poor women are paying an unacceptably high price for this global land rush.
